In 2024 lowernine.org volunteers repaired the roof on Ms. Payne’s shed, and while in the process, discovered that her home had extensive termite damage. Volunteers removed damaged walls and siding. lowernine.org and volunteers helped repair Ms. Metoyer’s home on Jourdan Avenue. In 2023 the roof was replaced, and we returned in 2024 to repair the foundation of the house, joyces, interior flooring, walls, and siding. Ms. Metoyer’s son, Warren, is so grateful for the assistance, that he has started volunteering with lowernine.org! Completed 2024.

#farvebuild: complete
Ms. Farve received a settlement with the Road Home program in 2018, and lowernine.org started this full rebuild that year. In 2019 the majority of the electrical work was installed. In 2020 we installed cabinets in the kitchen, bedroom doors, and plumbing was put in. We completed minor repairs with volunteers during December 2021.

This full rebuild began in March 2019. We put a new roof on Ms. Tyler’s house in April 2021 and built a fence around the property. We completed putting up sheetrock in all the bedrooms and kitchen, and finished taping and mudding all rooms! Completed summer 2021.

Mr. Knox is a veteran, and he and his wife Rhonda reside on Delery Street. This full rebuild started in June 2016, when Mr. Knox began to repair the foundation of the house. lowernine.org volunteers and staff completed this full rebuild in 2018.
