Since 2007, lowernine.org has been actively engaged in the long-term recovery of the Lower 9th Ward. To date we have fully rebuilt 98+ homes and completed over 400 structural repairs. We could not have done this without support from donors like you.
Our work here is far from over. As the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and the ensuing levee breaches, only 36.7% of our neighborhood has returned. lowernine.org is dedicated to returning any legacy homeowner that wishes to come back home to the community in which they grew up.
